FAQs
What does a physiotherapist do?
Physiotherapists assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of physical conditions and injuries. They help restore movement and function, manage pain, and support recovery and performance using evidence-based techniques.
Do I need a referral?
No, anyone can book to see Phil without a referral. However, a referral from your current treating practitioner such as your GP, current physio, chiro or massage therapist is always valuable. Phil will work with your current treating practitioner to help optimise your shared care.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring any relevant medical reports, imaging (X-rays, MRIs, etc.), a list of medications, and wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated.
How long is an appointment?
Initial consultations typically last 45–60 minutes to allow for a thorough assessment. Follow-up sessions are usually 30–45 minutes depending on your treatment plan.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, including back and neck pain, sports injuries, joint problems, post-surgical rehabilitation, overuse injuries, and neurological conditions. Phil also has specialist experience with elite athletic performance and hand therapy.
Do you accept Private Health Insurance?
Yes. You will be provided with all of the necessary information at your consultation to claim your rebate from your provider.
Do you offer NDIS, WorkCover, TAC or DVA services?
No. At present we are not accepting these referrals.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your condition, goals, and response to treatment. After your initial assessment, we’ll provide a clear treatment plan with timeframes.
